Compiling the songs for this album brought back memories of my childhood and Saturday nights, fiddling for the square dancers at local dance halls. My brother and I were always surrounded by great music and I wanted to put some of those tunes together, with a little of my own style and energy. There's also a few originals and a special song written for a sweet boy in my life, named James. I hope you dance a little more, worry a little less and just smile when you listen.

Her personal album, Love Hard. Work Hard. Play Hard Is full of so many different flavorful tunes that encompass the whole of her career, so far. Family, friends, fellow musicians, and mentors were all a part of this and their love for Deanie shines through, in all of the songs. This isn't your typical bluegrass album. It is composed of old songs, Irish and Gaelic pieces, fiddle tunes and three that she has written herself.

Sister Sadie
